On Thursday-19- January the basketball teams from Bogota played those from Hawthorne Christian Academy. The Men's team traveled to Hawthorne Christian Academy, In the first quarter both played even at 11 Points each. Bogota started to take control of the game taking a 24-15 into Halftime. After the restart the Defenders cut into Bogota's lead, but the Bucs held on for a 47-38 win. Chris Castillo had a game high of 17 Points. Mr. Castillo, Shaun Cray, Argenis Soriano, and Tim Uzor each record a three point basket. Bogota record is now 9-4. Their next schedule game is on Tuesday-24-January when they travel to Saddle River Day School for a 7:00p game.
The Lady Bucs hosted the Lady Defenders and Bogota started the game scoring the first ten Points, and kept pressuring Hawthorne Christian Academy, through out the first half to lead 22-9. Bogota used a big third quarter to pace themselves to a 58-30 win. Titania Bruno lead all scorers with 30 Points including 3 Three Point Baskets. They next play on Tuesday-24-January when Saddle River Day School comes to the Jay Mahoney Court for a 4:00p game.
