Weekend Events

  Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota  for the weekend starting on Thursday-19-January.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.




Thursday-19-Jan.
Bogota

Bogota 
   The Bogota Public Library will host their next Smarty pants Lecture  the creation and use of a personalized "Vision Board", This will take place in the second floor Senior Center and start at 7:00p.   This is a free event  with registration required. To register for this event, or for more information please  about this and other Library events visit their web site at :  http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

Bogota 
 The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Friday-20-Jan

     The Bogota  Public Library is conducting a low impact version of their Fit Club. This will take place on Fridays in the second Floor Senior Centre.  It is being run by Library Director Radwa Ali who will lead the class in a series of movement exercises.  It  is scheduled to start at 4:00p , is a free event and open to anyone 18 years or older.  It is recommended anyone attending wear comfortable clothing which allows for easy movements.  Personal  water bottles  and a towel should also be brought.  There is no register required, however anyone attending will be asked to sign a waiver to participate. Saturday-21-Jan.
Bogota 
  The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop for young athletes in Bogota  This will be the first of four Saturday's to encourage Students to learn more about how learning any sport can be beneficial in everyday life. It will be in two separate age groups.  One group for anyone ages from 2-4 will run from 10:30a to 11:00a. The second group will be for ages 5-7 and start at 11:15a to 12:00 noon.   The Bogota Public Library will offer an AARP  Defensive Driving Course. This is designed for drivers over the age of 50 and will explain update driving rules and teach defensive driving techniques.      The Library will have it's  Night Traveler's Teen Club The Night Traveler's Teen Club is open to grades 6-12. Club members participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.     The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
