Bogota
    The Bogota Library will host a Project R.E.A.D. event with Maggie a therapy beagle. This will start at 11:30a. For more information please visit the the Library website at http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

Maggie the Beagle is coming to the Bogota Library and she's looking for a buddy to read to her!

Tuesday- 15- July
Hackensack, NJ
  The City of Hackensack will start it's Summer concert series with  the Duprees. This will take place at the Courthouse Green located across the street from the Bergen County Court House located at Main & Court Sts. Wednesday-16- July
Bogota

Bogota Beautiful has their next board meeting on Wednesday 16- July starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ. The Public is welcome to attend.

Wednesday-16- July
Ridgefield Park, NJ  
   The next of the McGowan Park Summer Concert Series starts with "THE RUTHERFORD COMMUNITY BAND" which will perform a selection of Broadway, Popular, & Classical Music. The Concert is schedule to start at 7:00p, with a rain date of the following day at the same time. Admission is free of charge,but it is recommended to bring a lawn chair, or blanket.  This year Rosie's Weenie Wagon will be parked at curbside for food.

Friday 18- July
Bogota
  The Bixby PTA is planning a clean-up and painting of the Bixby schoolyard.  They are asking anyone who wants to volunteer please join them for the morning to help clean up the schoolyard removing any debris or weeds that are there. Then paint play areas in on the surface. Steen School have donated the stencils they use last Summer for their playground. The PTA has purchase some of the paint and supplies, but any other supplies such as brushes, rollers, rolling stick,  paint trays, paper towels,  tape and other cleaning supplies would be welcomed.  Snacks and water will also be welcomed. 
  Only those Students who can help with the work of cleaning, and paint may also Volunteer if accompanied by an Adult. Bixby School will be holding Summer Classes so no younger children may be brought to this event.

The Puffin Cultural Forum will  host, Under curation of Bergen Symphony Orchestra’s conductor Woomyung Choe. The performance is scheduled to start at 7:00p. The A.W. Duo comes to the Puffin to perform selections from Debussy’s Sonata for cello and piano, Beethoven’s Sonata for cello and piano no. 3 in A major, Op. 69, Okada’s The Light Princess Suite, and Rachmaninoff’s Sonata for cello and piano in G minor Op. 19. The award winning A.W. Duo have won numerous awards and competitions and are made up of Russian pianist Alyona Aksyonova and American cellist James Waldo.

    The Puffin Cultural Forum will  hostASCAP award winning songwriter, record producer, and artist Kathy Kosins presents songs of the West Coast Cool movement of the 50’s and 60’s celebrating artistry of Anita O’Day, June Christy, Julie London, and Chris Connor as well as material from her latest disk, “The Space Between.” Performance will include demonstration of “Improvisation of Canvas,” live abstract painting set to music. Accompanying Kathy is multi Grammy nominated pianist John di Martino. John is a favorite of some of the world’s best singers and producers.
