PSE&G River Rd

   PSE&G is schedule continue it's work on River Rd. in Bogota for all of next week. River Rd from Elm Ave to W. Ft.Lee Rd will be closed to all traffic from approximately  8:00a to 4:00p. Some local travel will be permitted. After those times steel plates will be installed covering the work area. Drivers using River Rd after normal business hours are ask to proceed with caution in the work area.   Bogota Police will be station  to control traffic, PSE&G is reimbursing  the Borough for the use of  it's Police Officers. Residents should expect a higher volume of traffic on Elm Ave & Larch Ave during these time. Side streets may also be closed, with only local traffic permitted.This is the main part of PSE&G project to run new power lines from this Ridgefield Power Station to it's Clifton Power Station.  This work will continue to head in a southerly direction to Ridgefield Park  and travel along Railroad Ave. to Mt. Vernon St.

Reliability Project Overview

The Northeast Grid Reliability Project will upgrade PSE&G’s power service in the northern part of the state from current 138 kV service to 230 kV on existing overhead transmission lines to comply with requirements set by the PJM Interconnection, the regional transmission operator (RTO).  The project also includes the reconfiguration of switching stations in Roseland, Clifton, Saddle Brook, Newark and Jersey City and the addition of 230 kV underground transmission circuits in 20 northern New Jersey towns.
Underground construction commenced Q3 2012 and overhead construction commenced Q4 2013. The entire project is estimated to be in-service by 2nd Quarter 2015.
Activity Overview Underground construction activity will take place through Bogota to add a new 230kV transmission circuit to connect the Bergen Station in Ridgefield to the Athenia Station in Clifton.
  During the closure Bergen County will also be replacing sewer drains along the curbs.
