Weekend events

   Some events happening in and around Bogota starting on Friday -15-August.

Saturday- 16-Aug.
Bogota
   The Bogota Swim Club will hold its 5th Annual Pool party. This year it will again be sponsored by New Horizon Financial. This is an Adults only event, with the cost of $20 per person. Non-glass containers of alcohol will be permitted for this event. Doors open at 8:00p and will go until 1:00a. There will be a Dunk tank along with Hamburgers & Hot Dogs available.  Music will be provided " The Elevens" For tickets and information please call the Bogota Swim Club at 201-489-1991 of visit their website at: www.bogotaswimclub.com
   This years event will go to help raise money for the family of Officer Steven Sulborsky.  Sgt Sulborsky was an Officer with the Ridgefield Park Police Department. To contribute to the fund for his family please go to:

The following if from Laura Sulborsky, Officer Sulborsky Sister-in -Law:
   On April 30th, 2014, SGT Steven A. Sulborsky succumbed to an unexpected and untimely illness. Steve went to heaven at age 42, leaving behind a wife a two young boys.
Steve was a loving and caring man who always put others before himself. He was honest, hardworking and loved spending time with his family, hunting and fishing with his twin brother Brian, and his friends. 
  Steve grew up in Bogota and graduated from Bogota High School in 1990. He went on to Rutgers University and later obtained a masters degree from Seton Hall University. After working for the Tenafly and Cresskill police departments, he was hired by the Ridgefield Park Police department in 1998. In 2010, Steve became a detective and in 2011 was named Sergeant in the patrol division.
  Steve served as President of the PBA Local 86, served as a member of the departments ceremonial honor guard and two county-wide rapid deployment squads. He was also an instructor on forearms and other weapons

Friday to Sunday- 15-17-August.
Hackensack, NJ

    The Teaneck New Theatre along with the Hackensack  Cultural Arts Center will present  the Neil Simon play  "Lost in Yonkers" Performances will be every Friday to Sunday  starting on Friday 1- August to Sunday 17- August. Curtain times will be 8:00p on Friday & Saturday with a matinee performance at 3:00p on Sunday. All performances will take place at the Hackensack  Cultural Arts Center  located at  39 Broadway Hackensack, NJ. For more information please go the their website at :  http://www.go-tnt.org/

Saturday- 16-Aug.
Bogota
   This will be an additional day for Parents of Student of both Bixby & Steen School  to order uniforms for the upcoming school year.  It will be held in the Bixby Gym from 9:00a to 12 Noon.  For more information please go to : http://www.sharpprintingplus.com/
