Weekend Events

16-March-2017
 Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota  for the week starting on Thursday-16-March.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Continuing
  The Bogota Public Library is continuing its project to create the Nikki Spiegel Storytime Corner in the Library's main floor. To help off set the cost they have set-up a go fund me page at: https://www.gofundme.com/nikkispiegel.  As of this week the Library is under $800 of meeting there needed goal.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.  The closure will begin at noon.  Construction is schedule to take 10 Months to complete. 






Wednesday-15-March*
Bogota
  The Bogota High School Seniors will challenge the High Staff & Facility in their annual Basketball Game. Has been rescheduled for Wednesday 22-March  This is scheduled to start at  7:00p and be held in the High School Gymnasium located at:2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ

Wednesday-15-March*
Bogota 
 Bogota Beautiful has has been rescheduled for Monday-20-March  starting at 7:30p. This is schedule to take place at the Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ. The Public is welcome to attend. For more information please visit their website at:

Thursday & Friday-16 & 17-March
Bogota 
 The library is again working with AARP this year to provided assistance in tax preparation. This will be available on Thursday and Fridays from now until Saturday 15- April.  This is targeted to anyone over the age of 60 who could also be collecting Social Security .

Bogota 
The Bogota Public Library will host an evening of  sharing recipes from Bogota families. This is the first step in creating a collection of recipes in order to produce a cook book to become a fundraiser for the Bogota Public Library.    The St.Joseph's School in Bogota, NJ will present it's eight annual Sherlock Holmes Mystery Dinner Theatre has been rescheduled for Wednesday 22-March 
 Doors open at 6:00p with a Curtain of 7:00p. Prizes will be announced at intermission.

 The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

The Bogota Public Library will host a Mini-Makers lab for Students age 4-6. This will be held on the library first floor in the Teen quiet study area.   The Bogota  Public Library will host their weekly Fit Club. Saturday-18-March
Bogota 
  The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop for young athletes in Bogota  This will be the first of four Saturday's to encourage Students to learn more about how learning any sport can be beneficial in everyday life. It will be in two separate age groups.  One group for anyone ages from 2-4 will run from 10:30a to 11:00a. The second group will be for ages 5-7 and start at 11:15a to 12:00 noon. Sunday-19-March
Ridgefield Park, NJ
    The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.

Bogota 
    The Bogota Public Library will have a members of the Bogota Girls Scout be available for Reading and Tutoring. Bogota 
  The Bogota Public Library will offer an AARP  Defensive Driving Course. This is designed for drivers over the age of 50 and will explain update driving rules and teach defensive driving techniques.  The Library will have it's  Teen Advisory Group.  This is  an event open to grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.     The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
