Bogota Sports

  Results from the games played on Saturday-5-May by teams from Bogota. The # 32 Lady Bucs Softball team lost at #1 Indian Hills in the first game of the  2018 Bergen County Tournament. The Lady Braves would take a 3-0 lead after one inning, but put the game away with a seven run third for an 11-0 win. Anna Granquist would manage to to get the only hit for Bogota.  Their next schedule game is on Monday 7-May when they travel to Rutherford to Play St. Mary's the first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p.

   The Men's Baseball Bucs was able to covert the extra point in a 12-11 win over Wallington.  The Panther score one run in their first at bat with Bogota doubling that in the bottom half of the inning.  Wallington would then score the next 6 runs over two inning for a 7-1 lead. The Bucs would cut into that lead with 2 in the bottom of the third only to have the Panthers  regain a 6 run advantage after four innings. In the fifth Bogota would added 2 more runs and again have Wallington match those runs in the top half of the sixth inning. Bogota would once again score two runs in their at bat but still trail 8-11 going in to the final inning. The Bucs pitching would hold Wallington scoreless for on the second time in the game with Bogota coming back to the plate. A four run final frame would then give Bogota a come from behind win. 
   Tim Barcon would hit 2 Home Run and have a game high 5 Runs Batted In. Argenis Soriano would have 3 Stolen Bases, with Mathew Fitzgerald hitting 2 Double, and Jake Marino getting 1. Jose Marte would record a Triple. Jake Marino would throw 3 Strike outs and get the win. Bogota's record is now 6-9 .Their next scheduled game is on Wednesday-9-May against Emerson at the Fiegel Field Baseball Diamond, with the first pitch at 4:00p
