Weekend Events

Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the weekend starting  on Thursday-31-May. Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Continuing
 Starting on Monday-26- February the main parking lot and front entrance to Bogota High School will be closed. This is due to the reconstruction of the Parking lot. Work is scheduled to continue until First week of September-2018.   All access to the High School will be through the side door on the North side of the building.







Continuing 
   The Bogota Police Dept has issued a traffic alert for Thursday-16-November. The Suez water company will be working on the main water line under the street.  Work is schedule  to continue until late January -2018. This will occur on W. Main St. between Larch and Elm Aves. This is scheduled to start at 7:00a and run to 4:00p. All parking on W.Main will be suspend during this time. Traffic in both directions may be detoured during this project, please plan alternate routes. Business parking will be permitted on both Larch and Elm Aves and may cause additional congestion on those streets.







Wednesday & Thursday-30 &31-May

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a.  This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. Bogota
   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Bogota
 Bogota Beautiful is hosting a  wildflower planting event.  This will be use to plant a variety of wildflowers in Bogota.  Volunteers are asked to meet at the parking lot in front of the Olsen Park Environment Walkway. The event is schedule to start at 11:00a and possible last only 1/2 hour. As of now the target date for this event would be Saturday-2-June.   The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop for young athletes in Bogota  This will be the first of four Saturday's to encourage Students to learn more about how learning any sport can be beneficial in everyday life. This is open to Students aged 2 to 7 years old  and will begin at 11:00a.     The ARC of Bergen, & Passaic Counties will hold their 21th annual walk for Children and Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Olsen Park. This year the event will  mark the 70th Anniversary of ARC Walk fundraising events. Registration will begin at 9:30a, with the walk itself will  start at 10:30a.  Olsen Park is located at 162 W. Main St. in Bogota , NJ  For information on how to be a sponsor  for the event, or participate as a walker. Please go to:  www.arcbergenpassaic.org.

    The Library will have its Teen Advisory Group meeting.  This is  an event open to  Students in grades 6-12. Group members will  participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table.     The Bogota Public Library will present its next Foreign Film discussion night  This will feature "Day for Night". This is a free event but is limited to anyone 18 years or older.

    The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
