Starting on Monday-4-January
Bergen County
   Starting on Monday-4-January the Bergen County Community testing site for covid-19 will re-open at the Bergen Community College in the Lot B location. This is being sponsored by Bergen County in cooperation with the New Bridge Medical Center. Testing will continue of various days until Thursday-29-January. Anyone wishing to revive a test must pre-register. This will be open starting at 9:00a to 2:30p, with check-in starting at 8:00p This will be a nasal swab test with results available in 24 hours. 
All people taking a test must have proper identification, Accepted forms of ID are a driver’s license or identification card, Social Security card, passport, or birth certificate. For those without legal status, a foreign passport is accepted. Residents also have to show proof they live or work in Bergen County. An insurance card is also required, again residents who do not have health insurance will still be able to get tested.
In addition the Bergen County site at the New Bridge Medical Center are available to the General Public regardless of showing, or not showing symptoms. The New Bridge testing site requires a pre-register.

Tree Pick-up
-The Bogota DPW will start their Christmas tree pick on Monday-4-January
-The Ridgefield Park DPW will pick-up Christmas tree on the same days as yard waste. This will continue until Sunday-31-January
-The Teaneck DPW will pick-up Christmas trees starting on Monday-4-January until Monday-18-January

The Bogota Police Department, in partnership with the Bergen County Community Engagement Task Force, is sponsoring a Youth Writing Contest open to all 11th and 12th Grade students attending Bogota Public Schools.
The 1,000 word essay topic is “Why is it important for members of the community to engage with Police Departments?”.
The top three essays will be awarded prizes. 1st prize, a Chromebook Laptop, 2nd and 3rd place prize, a $50 Amazon Gift Car

Ridgefield Park, NJ
The Ridgefield Park Arts Association announced a Community activity open to the public.  They are encouraging any to build their own snowwomen, snowmen,snow children or even snow pets. Until there enough natural material on the ground the creations can be made out of what the artist feels like using.  This is an opportunity to be creative and have some fun this winter. Creations can be display on the outside of the resident , or simply placed in a window.  Once finished and on display, the  Ridgefield Park Arts Association asked everyone to  take a picture and send to:  ridgefieldparkarts@gmail.com

Wednesdays-27-January
Bogota
The  Bogota Bowling Bucs  will compete against Midland Park. This is schedule to start 4:00p and take place at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park. The Girls Middle School Basketball Lady Bucs will travel to Lodi with a tip-off scheduled for 4:00p. The Boys Middle School Basketball Bucs will host Lodi on the Patty Ciccone Court in Moore Gym. This is scheduled to start at 4:00p.

Thursday-28-January
Ridgefield Park NJ
  The Ridgefield Park Bowling Scarlets will compete against Dumont, this is scheduled to start at 4:00p and be held at Bowler City in Hackensack.  Due to the current health situation no fans will be allow to attend this game in person.
The Men's Basketball Scarlets will travel to Cliffside Park, this is scheduled to have a 7:00p tip-off.  This will be preceded by the Freshman game at 4:00p and the Junior Varsity game at 5:30p
The Lady Scarlets Basketball team  is schedule to start their 2021 home  season against Cliffside Park. This will take place on the Dr. John C. Richardson Court. The Varsity game is schedule to have a 7:00p tip-off.  This will be preceded by the Junior Varsity game at 5:30p. Due to the current health situation no fans will be allow to attend this game in person. This game will be lived streamed on the High School you-tube channel at

Andrea Mosterman discusses the early slave trade in American and the philosophical, economic and religious structures it was based upon with a focus on Early New York's Dutch Reformed Churches.

 Ms. Mosterman  explores the multi-faceted dimensions of slavery, slave trade, and cross-cultural contact in the Dutch Atlantic and Early America with special emphasis on Early New York. Published on topics ranging from slavery and race in an eighteenth-century Brooklyn Dutch Reformed Church to Dutch diplomacy in precolonial Kongo. Curated a digital exhibit on slavery in New Netherland for the New Netherland Institute. Zoom invite link will be emailed 3 days prior to lecture.

The Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball team is schedule to have their 2021 Home Opener against Palisades Park. This will take place on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The Varsity game is schedule to have a 4:00p tip-off. Due to the current health situation no fans will be allow to attend this game in person. This game will be lived streamed on the High School you-tube channel at Bogota Buc Nation or at Bogota BOE
The Men's team will will travel to Palisades Park. This is scheduled to have a 5:30p tip-off.

  The Bogart Memorial Church will again offer in-person services. They will have both Spanish and English services scheduled to start at 10:10a. Masks and safe distances are required.

   Trinity Lutheran Church in Bogota has started to offer their Sunday services again. Sunday service will start at 9:30a. The Sunday School will begin at 10:30a. There will be Wednesday Bible Studies at 7:00p. Masks and safe distances are required. Trinity Lutheran Church is now handicapped acceptable with a new lift system.

Sunday-31-January
Bogota
The Rectory Office will be closed for 10 days. The Rectory will re-open on Monday, February 1st. The Church will also be closed for 10 days. All public worship in Church will be suspended. The Church will also re-open on Monday, February 1st.
During this quarantine period, they will stream daily Mass, Monday - Saturday at 9am, and the weekend Masses in English on Saturday evening at 5pm and Sunday morning at 10am.
