  The Borough has started a Hometown Heroes Banner program. This will allow residents of Bogota to honor a family member who serviced in the Armed Servies. The cost of a banners will be $150.00 payable to the Borough of Bogota. The Bogota Seniors will be having a trip to the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem Penna. on Thursday-19-June.
A coach bus will leave from the Bogota Public Library at 9:00a to Bethlehem, PA to Wind Creek Casino.  The cost is $40.00 (get $25.00 back for slots).  You can bring snacks and beverages on the bus.

Note:
Registration for the 2025 Bogota Summer Camp is now open. The camp will run from Monday-30-June to Friday-8-August from 9:00a to 4:00p. It will be held at the Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St. Bogota

Sunday-25-May
Ridgefield Park NJ
NJ Batman will host a Bat Walk stating at 7:00p. This will be presented by Mr. Joseph D’Angeli  who will explain what look for and listen to spot bats in the early twilight. There will additional activities and education. It will start in the Parking lot at the base of Brinkerhoff St.   For more information go to thebatcave.org

Monday-26- May
Memorial Day
Bogota
All Government Offices will be closed and reopen on Tuesday-27-May at their regular time. 
There will be no Trash or Vegetation pick-up.
The Bogota Public Library will be closed and reopen on Tuesday-27-May
The Bogota Public Schools will be closed and reopen on Tuesday-27-May
The Bogota VFW Ralph Hall post #5561, and the Bogota American Legion Clifford Dunn Post #117will hold for their Memorial Day events for 2023. This year Memorial Day will be on Monday-26-May. 
-The Fire Fighters Memorial Ceremony will start at 9:00a. In front of Borough Hall.
-The Borough of Bogota Memorial Day Service starting at 11:00a. This will take place in front of Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. This event is free and opened to the Public.  
-The Bogota Memorial Day Parade will start at Palisades Ave & Fairview Ave in Bogota. This will kick off at 11:30a The Parade will travel North on Palisade to E. Main St. It will turn left onto E. Main St and cross over the 1st Lt. Albert Graf Bridge to Elm Ave. It will make a right turn onto Elm Ave and travel north to W. Grove St. It will turn Left onto W. Grove to Larch Ave. It will turn Left onto Larch Ave and travel South to Bogota Borough Hall and will end after passing by the reviewing stand.

The Ridgefield Park VFW will hold their Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony. This will take place at Euclid Ave. and Mt. Vernon St. Starting at 11:00a. This is open to the Public. 
 


Tuesday27-May
Bogota

 The Bogota Public Library will have "Tiny But Mighty" story time reading starting at 10:30a. This is for Children ages 3 three years and younger. The Bogota Public Library will have a Crochet Workshop at 6:00p. It will be held in the second floor Seniors Centre.  Students from age 12-18 are invited to join and learn the basics of crochet. Projects can include stuffed animals, clothes, and other geeky goodies. Registration required. The Bogota Public Library host a Presented by NJ4S and based on the Positive Action curriculum, Miss M will guide children on an adventure through different lands. Starting at 7:00p. The Women’s support group "Never Alone Again" and the Bergen County Food Security Task Force is offering hot meals to go curbside pick-up every Friday starting at 5:00p This will be held at their resource center located at 668 American Legion Dr. Teaneck, NJ. Sunday-1-June
Bogota 
The ARC of Bergen, & Passaic Counties will hold their 23rd walk for Children and Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2019. This will take place in Olsen Park. Registration will begin at 9:30a, with the walk itself will start at 10:30a.  Olsen Park is located at 162 W. Main St. in Bogota, NJ. Due to construction parking is limited.
Parking is available at Bogota Swim club lot at 452 Feller Place
   The ARC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide and maintain a full, & independent lifestyle within their own communities. ARC provides advocacy, community education, direct services, and customized support for those people, and their families, who have an intellectual and other disabilities.  There will be live music, games, face painting, and other actives, before, during, and after the walk.   There are a number of way citizens can contribute to The ARC. One is to be an event sponsor.  Another is to raise money from pledges for how many miles are walked.
