  Weekend results from Bogota Varsity Sports.
  On Friday-26-January   the Bogota/ Weehawken Wrestling Squad hosted the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils at Speary Gym. Bogota/ Weehawken won  this match by the score of 57-15.   The home team won 5 of the seven bouts that were competed.  Brandon Gonzalez at 145 lbs,  Michael Fitzgerald at 170 lbs, Jamear Stephenson at 182 lbs, Eris Rosario at 220 lbs, and Simon Cardona at 285 lbs all scored Pin Falls.
  On Saturday-27-January   the Bogota/ Weehawken Wrestling Squad hosted the  braves from Indian Hills at Speary Gym. Bogota/ Weehawken won this match by a score of 54-15. All of the home wins were by Pin Fall with David Martinez  at 120 lbs,  Tristan Fitzgerald at 126 lbs and  Tyler Williams at 152 lbs  providing the 6 point wins
    Bogota/ Weehawken  now has a 11-7 record. Their next competition is scheduled for Saturday-3-February at the Hudson County Duals.  This will be held at the Union City High School in Union City NJ. This will start at 9:00a

   The #17 Bogota Men's Basketball Bucs played # 16 River Dell Hawks in the opening round of the Bergen County Tournament.  River Dell took control of the game early on and held a 9 Point edge after the first eight minutes. The Hawks would go into the locker room leading 43-17. After the restart Bogota tried to make a comeback, but River Edge maintained their lead and won the game 51-38.  The Hawks' David Estevez lead all scorers with 21-Points. Ben Lukabu was the Bucs top points getter with 13. Argenis Soriano had a game high with 2 Three Point Baskets. Tim Uzor, and Mr. Lukabu had one Three Point Baskets each.  Bogota's record is now 11-3, They next play on Tuesday-30-January at Park Ridge with a 7:00p start.
