Results from the Bogota/ Weehawken Wrestling match from the weekend. On Friday-19- February they traveled to take on Leonia/ Palisades Park. Bogota/ Weehawken lost this match by the score of 39-32. Brandon Gonzalez at 138 lbs, and Simon Cardona at 285 recorded Pin Falls Danny Gonzalez at 132 lbs and Rex Fukuda at 195 lbs both scored Major Decisions.
On Saturday Bogota/ Weehawken hosted Ridgefield Park, Rutherford, and Ft. Lee in a Quad meet at Speary Gym. The home squad swept their opponents. They beat Ridgefield Park 48-27 with Rex Fukuda at 195 lbs and Simon Cardona at 285 recording a Pin Falls. Bogota/ Weehawken then outscored Rutherford 48-25 David Martinez at 120 lbs, Kevin Rodriguez at 152 lbs, Rex Fukuda at 195 and Simon Cardona at 220 lbs all recording Pins Falls. Their third win for the afternoon was a 36-27 decision over Ft. Lee. Danny Gonzalez at 132 lbs, Brandon Gonzalez at 138 lbs, Kevin Rodriguez at 145 lbs, Tyler Williams at 152 lbs Michael Fitzgerald at 170 lbs all recorded Pin Falls
Bogota/ Weehawken now has a 9-6 record after this weekend. Their next match is scheduled for Wednesday-24-January against Kearny at Speary Gym with the first bout at 5:00p
