This Weeks Events

 Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the Week starting on Sunday-13-January.  Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

 Starting on Thursday-16 March the  Lt William Ryan Bridge will be closed for replacement.   Construction is schedule continue until December

   The Bogota Police Dept has issued a traffic alert for Thursday-16-November. The Suez water company will be working on the main water line under the street.  Work is schedule  to continue until late January -2018. This will occur on W. Main St. between Larch and Elm Aves. This is scheduled to start at 7:00a and run to 4:00p. All parking on W.Main will be suspend during this time. Traffic in both directions may be detoured during this project, please plan alternate routes. Business parking will be permitted on both Larch and Elm Aves and may cause additional congestion on those streets.

River Edge, NJ
   The Bergen County Historical Commission  is presenting a afternoon of History and Eagle. This will take place at the Steuben House located at Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201 Main St., River Edge, NJ .     In observance  of  Martin Luther King Day:
   The Bogota Public Library will be closed.  It will open on Tuesday 16-January at their regular hours.
  The Bogota Public Schools will  have a half day session
  The Bogart Memorial School will be closed

The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

   The Bogota Public Library will have the following program:  Makers Lab for Students 4:00p -5:00p, This is a free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the library in advance.   To register for this event, or for more information please  about this and other Library events visit their web site at :  http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

Tuesday-16-January

  Bogota Beautiful will host the first event in their of Zumba Nights in association with Bogart Church.  These will occur every Tuesday starting on 2-January. This program is scheduled to continue until Tuesday-27-March-2018.  They will be one hour session starting at 7:00p and run by Gisela Medina. This will take place at Bogart Church's new Community space.  Each session will cost will be $10 per person, or $25 for a family of three or more.  Tickets will available at the door. Process from this event will go to help fund Bogota Beautiful project for 2017. Bogart Church is located at 263 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ

Wednesday & Thursday-17 &18- January

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a.  This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. Wednesday-17-January 
Bogota
   The Bogota Public Library have Reading Buddies  available until  February.  This is a program where older Students assist younger ones with their homework and reading skills. On this day several Sixth Grade Student were on hand to offer guidance on how best to answers question about their school assignments.
   The Reading Buddies program will take place between 3:30-4:30p when the Library is open. Buddies will meet in the Nikki Spiegel Children's Area. Students looking for may come in and ask for a Buddy to work with. Any older Student who wishes to volunteer their time to become a Reading Buddy should contact the Library at:

 The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular meeting and work session this is schedule to start at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers located on the second floor at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Friday-19-January
Bogota
   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Women's Basketball    at Cresskill 4:00p followed by the JV game at 5:30p
Men's Basketball          vs Cresskill  on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary Gym 7:00p This will be preceded by the Freshman game at 4;00p and the JV  game at 5:30p

Wednesday-17-January
Middle School Basketball  vs Leonia Women's game at 4:00p, Men's game at 5:00p in the David Moore Gym at Steen School
Wrestling                         vs Saddle Brook 7:00p at Speary Gym


Thursday-18-January
Middle School Basketball  vs Maywood Women's game at 4:00p, Men's game at 5:00p in the David Moore Gym at Steen School
