On Tuesday-18 December the Bogota Board of Education held their final meeting of the Calendar year. In his opening comments Superintendent Damien Kennedy announce two major items. One was that the Board of Education is working with an agency to provide a nurse to be assigned to the High School during Class hours. He added that the Board is still advertising for a Full Time Registered Nurse position, to hire immediately.
Another Superintendent Kennedy made was that the work in Steen for the Pre-School Class is continuing and should be ready to accept Students when the Public School return from Christmas Action on Wednesday-2-January -2019. All agenda items were passed.
The Board confirmed that the swearing in of the Trustees, elected to serve during the November Election, will be on Thursday-3-January-2019. This is scheduled for 6:00p and will be held in the High School Cafeteria located on the second floor of 2 Henry Luthin place Bogota, NJ. Eileen Lewis, Kathy VanBuren, and Michael Connors will be given the oath of office at that time. The Public is invited to attend.
The Board of Education meetings for 2019 will be announce at the 3-January meeting..
