Ridgefield Park Tree Lighting

5-December-2018
On Sunday-2-December  the Village of Ridgefield Park held their annual tree lighting for the Holiday Season. This was in front of the Municipal Building in a light rain.  They lit both, one candle on the Menorah to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah, and the pine tree in front of the building. Santa was escorted by the Ridgefield Park Volunteer Fire Dept. on Hook and Ladder truck #1. Santa then counted down to turn the tree lights. This was followed songs performed by the Students from Roosevelt School, and the Girl Scouts. Queen Elsa and an Elf walked through the attendees greeting the Children and passing out candy canes. But sometimes the Grinch would sneak into the crowd  to cause mischief. But with the joyous music from the choirs he was able kept from ruing the festivities.
Santa awarded prizes to a few winners and pose for photos with the children.
