Bogota Basketball

19- December- 2018

 On Tuesday-18-December the  Basketball teams from Bogota played those from Park Ridge.
  The Men's team traveled to Park Ridge to play the Owls.  Bogota would  lead 18-14 after the first 8 minutes. The Bucs would continue to add to their lead with a 31- 21 advantage at half time. After the restart the two teams played a more even second half Bogota but was able  maintained their lead.   And the Bucs finished with a 50-40 victory.  Argenis Soriano of Bogota, and Evan Burns of Park Ridge each had 16 Points to lead all other scores. Taj Collins had a game high with 2 Three point Baskets. Bogota's record is now 2-0. They next play on Thursday-20-December against Midland Park. This will be the home opener for the Men's team and be played on the Jay Mahoney Court at Speary  Gym. Tip-off time is scheduled for 7:00p.

Bogota Lady Bucs hosted the Lady Owls from Park Ridge. This was Lady Bucs Home Opener for this season. Bogota was shut out in both the First and Fourth Quarters. Park Ridge would score the first 36 Points of the game. The Lady Owls would take a 49-2 lead into Halftime. Kaylin Tores and Natalia Linares scored the only to baskets of the game for Bogota. Park Ridge would go on to win the game 63 to 4.  The Lady Owls Shannon Burns would have a game high of 26 points. Bogota's record is now 0 2. They next play on Thursday-27-December in the Ridgefield Holiday Tournament. This starts at 11:00a
