Rankings

   On Thursday-4-April NJ Family Magazine released its full listing of Top Towns for Families in the State of New Jersey. This is for the year of 2019 and is based on a number of criteria. NJ Family used data from from any of the municipalities with a population of over 1,500  residents. That is a survey of 512 municipalities in the State of New Jersey with 70 in Bergen County. Information used was the cost of home sales, test scores of High School Students, Public Safety, the Diversity of the residents, access to Hospitals, and length of commuting into New York City.
  Using this data the Magazine ranked Bogota as the 249th best place to raise a Family in the State of New Jersey. Bogota was placed at # 45 within Bergen County. Municipalities in the Bogota area that ranked high were Leonia (#108 State) with just under 1,000 more resident and Ft. Lee (#247 State) with about 30,000 more residents.  Those towns under Bogota were Teaneck (#356 State) Little Ferry (#398 State) Ridgefield Park (#417 State) and Hackensack (#470 State).
