Bogota Basketball

On Wednesday-3-January the Bogota Basketball teams played those from Palisades Park. The Lady Bucs played an away game at the Lady Tigers. Bogota would score first, then the Lady Tigers took a 5-2 lead. Near the end of the first quarter the Lady Bucs moved ahead by 1 (6 to 5) Bogota added to their advantage to lead 19-14 at the half.  After the restart Palisades Park began to curt into the deficit and trail the Visitors by only three points at the three-quarter time mark. To start the final eight minutes the Lady Tigers forged a 25-25 tie. Bogota would regain the lead and win the game by a score of 36-28.  Makayla Douglas recorded a game high with 12 Points. She also had 20 Rebounds with 2 Blocks.  Josefin Goddard led the Lady Tigers with9 Points. Ms. Goddard, Isabelle Ro, TaraLynn Caba, and Bogota's Emma Fowler all scored 1 Three Point Baskets.  The Lady Bucs record is now 3-4. The next play on Friday-5- January against New Milford on The Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym at 4:30p. 

   The Men's team hosted the Tigers. The Bucs more than double the score 14-6 in the first quarter. Bogota would expand their advantage 34 18 at halftime. The Bucs moved on to win the game by the score of 68 to 32.  R J Asencio finished with 13 Points including 2 Three Point Baskets. Lucas Cruz had 10 Rebounds to go with 2 Blocks.  Bogota's record is now 4-4. They next play on Friday-5- January in New Milford at 6:00p.
