Bogota Borough Council meeting

 On Thursday-15-January, the Bogota Borough Council held their Regular meeting for the month.
 The Council first voted to introduce a number of ordinance. They were:
- Ordinance # 1649 to amend, revised, and supplemented to established, entitled “AHO-1 Affordable Housing Overlay Zone”.
- Ordinance # 1650 to repeal Section 2-16 of Chapter 2 of the Bogota Code, since the responsibilities of the Bogota Rescue Squad have been transferred to the Bogota Volunteer Fire Department.
- Ordinance # 1651 to amend the language in Chapter 22A to conform it to the terms of a settlement reached between the Borough of Bogota and Fair Share Housing Center.
- Ordinance # 1652 amend the language in Chapter 22B to conform it to the terms of a settlement reached between the Borough of Bogota and Fair Share Housing Center.
 These will be open for Public comment at the next regular meeting on Thursday-19-Febuary.
 Then the Council voted on the Consent Agenda. All items passed by unanimous vote, with one Council Member who recused themselves  for one resolution.
 Items of note.
- To approve the Ramadan Community event on Saturday-7-Febuary at 3:30p. It will be held in the Senior Center on the second fl. of the Borough Hall at 375 Larch Ave.
-To hire Mr. Philip Conte as a Part-Time Recreational Director.
 During the Council Reports the main topic was to thank Borough Clerk Ms. Yenlys Flores-Bolivard  for her ten years of service to Bogota in that position. She is stepping down from this position to pursue a Doctoral degree.
  The next work session Council meeting will be held on Thursday-5-Febuary starting at 7:30p. It is scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers located on the second floor of 375 Larch Ave Bogota, NJ. For more information please visit: https://www.bogotaonline.org/
