The Borough has started a Hometown Heroes Banner program. This will allow residents of Bogota to honor a family member who serviced in the Armed Servies. The cost of a banners will be $150.00 payable to the Borough of Bogota. He will be discussing A Degraded Caste of Society: Under the Protection of the Law as a Badge of Slavery, a historical analysis of enslavement law, and how it still affects legal decisions today. The Bogota Public Library will host The Cognicode: Youth AI Workshop (Grades 4-8) workshops break down how powerful algorithms and design tricks shape what people see, click, and believe online, helping students analyze real apps and platforms in a concrete way. They also include coding labs where students test how simple algorithms behave and build tools that detect manipulative patterns. This will start at 6:30p in the second fl.
