 Results from Bogota Varsity Sports.
 -Wednesday-7-January
 The Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball team traveled to St. Mary to play the Lady Geals. The first quarter  was close with the Lady Bucs having a 12 to 11 lead after eight minutes. The next quarter Bogota widen the margin to 32 to 22. After the restart  Bogota still had the lead by ten points. The fourth quarter  St. Mary closed the difference, but the Lady Bucs did not give up the lead  and came home with a 55 to 49 win.
Lady Bucs’ Amber Nunez had a game high with 22 Points. Edali Nunez and Emma Fowler led Bogota with 2 Three Point Baskets. St. Mary was led by Carly Sepp with 14 Points, and Jaylene Echeverry recording 3 Three Point Baskets. Bogota’s record is now  3-4. They next play on Friday-9-January in Lodi with a 4:00p tipoff.
 The Men’s Basketball Bucs hosted the Becton Wildcats on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The visitors would account for the first 8 points with Bogota finding the bottom of the net halfway into the first quarter. The Wildcats would hold a 30 to 16  advantage going into the locker room. After the restart Bogota played a more forceful defense causing a number of turnovers and cut into the Becton lead. The Bucs closed the margin to just  2 points early in the fourth quarter.
 Becton held off the charge and went on to win the game by the score of 64 to 45. Bogota’s Dominic Delvalle led the team with 11 Points including a game high of 3 Three Point Baskets. Becton’s Danny Wallner scored a game high with 22 Points, and Messiah Dunbar also with a game high of 3 Three Point Baskets.
Bogota’s record is now 1-6. They next play on Friday-9-January against Lodi with a 7:00p tipoff
on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.
 -Thursday-8-January
 The Bogota Bowling Bucs played the New Milford Knights at the Parkway Lanes. Bogota won all three games and would win the match by a score of 7 to 0. Bogota’s Nico Lucarelli  had both the high set with 524, and high game with a 188. New Milford’s Luke Bartus led his team with a 408 set and 158 game
Bogota’s record is now 4-3. They next play on Monday-12-January against Park Ridge in Parkway Lanes starting at 4:00p.
