New Vehicles

   Anyone attending the Bogota Memorial Day parade in 2018  could notice two new vehicles joining the procession. The first one was choose to lead off the parade. This was a recently acquired Hummer for the Bogota Police Department. This was given to the police through  the federal program  know as the Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO).  The Bogota Police will use this vehicle when condition would be unsafe for  standard patrol car.  This will mostly be use in high water areas, or on unpaved roads in neighboring  communities.The Police Dept. also plan on using this vehicle when roads need to be temporary closed.  This will free patrol cars to continue with their assigned duties and and will save on fuel because it  emergency light can run on its battery .  

  The other vehicle was a new Fire Chief's car which was at the head of the Bogota Volunteer Fire Dept. other vehicles.  This was purchase recently to replace the Chief's older vehicle. That vehicle needed to be replaced This will serve as the primary command, and control platform to oversee the crews, and Departments when answering a emergency call. This new vehicle was painted by Bogota Auto Body as a donation to the Borough and the Department.
