Summer Reading

On Saturday-16- June the Bogota Public Library kicked off its Summer Reading program " Libraries Rock" Student who signed up for the program, at the library, had a chance to create their own music items. The readers could make their own microphone, and design their own record cover. Then Children's Director Tom Skrnich read a few music themed books to the Children. The final book was about how to look like a Rock Star. So after the story was completed everyone listening stood up and started to dance, play the guitar, and sing to the music provided.
The summer reading program runs from now until Friday-31-August and is open to Student and Adults. Any reader who register with the Bogota Library will be able to earn points based on how many books they read from the Library's collection.  Some of the prizes available are:  For Kids: Easy Build Guitar Kit, For Teens: $50 gift card to Amazon, For Adults: $100 gift card to Ticketmaster. Also if they attended any of the Library's  summers programs, other activities.
