Some events happening in and around Bogota for the week starting on Sunday 3-January.

  The Bogota Public Library has a number of stations dedicated to the collect items to be recycled. collection drop is for old, non-working holiday string lights. This is a project sponsored by the Bogota Green team and Bogota Beautiful. They will be collecting these lights  until Friday-8-January-2016.  Process from collecting these lights will go to help fund the Bogtoa Beautiful spring planting.  Other string light drop-off points are Borough Hall, All three of the Bogota Public Schools and the Bogota Dept. of Public Works.   One is a box to collect old, and used Crayola coloured makers. Makers collected will be send to the Crayola company to be reprocessed. For more information please visit ther web site at;  http://www.crayola.com/colorcycle

  A Family Orchard Terrace is still searching for their lost dog . This family is serving as a Foster Home for this Dog who will answer to the name Cleo or Celine. She is a 2 year Shepard mix Brown and Black in colour.  The foster family reported Cleo missing on Wednesday 16-Dec after arriving home from work finding a window broken and Cleo missing. Cleo was last seen wearing a red collar decorated with images of bones on it.  Cleo may be familiar with the area along River Rd. She is described as "fearful" and may ran from strangers.  Cleo has been with her Foster Family for only a few weeks so she may be looking for an older home, or more familiar surroundings.

Bogota
   The Borough of Bogota will have it's Sine Die in order to swear in the elected officials for Mayor and Council. This will take place in the Seniors Center located on the second floor of 375 Larch Ave. This will begin at 2:00p, and is open to the public.

Monday-4-Jan.

   The Library will have it's  Night Traveler's Teen Club The Night Traveler's Teen Club is open to grades 6-12. Club members participate in various activities and interact with peers. Bring your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to the table. Tuesday-5-Jan.
Bogota
    The Bogota Board of Education will have its Re-organization meeting  to swear in the members who were elected to office in November-2015. This will be held in the Bogota High School Cafeteria starting at 7:30p. This is open to the public. The Cafeteria is located on the second floor at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ

Thursday-7-Jan.
Bogota  
   Bogota Beautiful will host Winter Salsa night in January. These will be every Thursday ( 7, 14, 21,& 28) of January.  The lessons will start at 8:00p and go until 9:00p. These will be lead by Isabel Bustamante who will teach anyone in attendance the art of Salsa Dancing.  The lessons are be open to all ages and experiences in dancing.  All sessions  will take place on the second floor of the Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main  St. Bogota, NJ. There is a suggested donation of $5.00 for the first three night and $10.00 for 28-Jan.  The fourth night will be a Salsa Social Dance event. This is open to anyone, of all ages, who knows, or wishes to learn about Salsa Dance.  Ms. Bustamante will be one instructor, along with Sasha Valerie leading the class on 21-Jan. The final night dance party on 28-January with music provided.  Anyone wishing to donate a food item should contact  Bogota Beautiful for more information. Also anyone wishing to volunteering for any of these project.
