This Weeks Events

 Some events happening in and around Bogota for the week starting on Monday -18-January.  Due to possible changes in the weather please contact the organization for information about cancellations delays.

  A Family Orchard Terrace is still searching for their lost dog . This family is serving as a Foster Home for this Dog who will answer to the name Cleo or Celine. She is a 2 year Shepard mix Brown and Black in colour.  The foster family reported Cleo missing on Wednesday 16-Dec after arriving home from work finding a window broken and Cleo missing. Cleo was last seen wearing a red collar decorated with images of bones on it.  Cleo may be familiar with the area along River Rd. She is described as "fearful" and may ran from strangers.  Cleo has been with her Foster Family for only a few weeks so she may be looking for an older home, or more familiar surroundings.

 Starting on  Thursday 14-January until Tuesday 19- January sections of River Rd between Elm Ave. and West Shore Rd will be subject to closure due to utility work. Please schedule extra time for travel and plan aternet routes.

      The three schools of the Bogota Public Education System, St. Joseph's School and the Bogart Memoral School will be closed for the Martin Luther King  Jr Holiday. The Bogota Public Library will also be closed this day.

Tuesday-19-Jan.

 The Bogota Public Library will have the following programs:  Makers Lab for Students 4:00p -5:00p,  Unplugged game night    6:00p-8:30p. This is a free event, but anyone attending is asked to register with the library in advance.   To register for this event, or for more information please  about this and other Library events visit their web site at:  http://www.bogotapubliclibrary.org/

    The Bogota Public Library is hosting a workshop on how to remove excess clutter from a home.  The Bogota Board of Education will have their regularly scheduled meeting and work session.  This meeting will take place in the Cafeteria of the Bogota  High School and start at 7:30p . The Public is invited to attend this meeting. The Cafeteria  is located on the second floor of the High School  at 2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ.

   Bogota Beautiful will have their Monthly board meeting starting at 7:30p. This will be held in the Bogota Borough Council Chambers located on the second  floor of Borough Hall 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

   The Bixby  Bulldog Band will present  its Winter Concert. This will start at 7:00p and be held in the Bixby Gymnasium

   Bogota Beautiful will host Winter Salsa night in January. These will be every Thursday ( 21 ,& 28) of January. The lessons will start at 8:00p and go until 9:00p.  These will be lead by Isabel Bustamante who will teach anyone in attendance the art of Salsa Dancing.  The lessons are be open to all ages and experiences in dancing.  All sessions  will take place on the second floor of the Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main St Bogota, NJ. There will be a suggested donation of $5.00 for the first three night and $10.00 for 28-Jan.  The fourth night will be a Salsa Social Dance event. This is open to anyone, of all ages, who knows, or wishes to learn about Salsa Dance.  Ms. Bustamante will be one instructor, along with Sasha Valerie leading the class on 21-Jan. The final night dance party on 28-January with music provided.  Anyone wishing to donate a food item should contact  Bogota Beautiful for more information. Also anyone wishing to volunteering for any of these project. The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.
