  Some added events that are schedule to occur in & around Bogota for late January and the month of February.

   The Bogota Public Library is looking for submission for their Freeze Frame Bogota project.
This is part of the Bogota 125th Anniversary celebration.
  They are looking for contributions from current and former resident of Bogota to share their stories and photos about living in Bogota, NJ.  Everyone is welcome to contribute and photo(s) and a brief essay describing it. All contributors will be invited to a presentation workshop in the Library in April. Library Staff will help in editing the essays  which will be included at an 125th Anniversary exhibit to be held at the Bogota Public Library in May.

Hackensack, NJ
  Fairleigh Dickerson University is hosting Crime Stoppers night for the FDU Men's Basketball Knights when they host Long Island University Blackbirds. This will take place in the Rothman Center located on the Metropolitan Campus in Hackensack, NJ Resident from Bogota, along with other Crime Stoppers communities including Hackensack, Teaneck Bergenfield, and Englewood will receive free admission with proper ID. 
 This is in support of the local Crime Stopper group that works with the local Police in the solving of  open cases.

Wednesday-13-February

   The Borough of Bogota is sponsoring a Valentine’s Dance at the Bogota VFW Post #5561 building. Door will open at 6:30p and will run until 8:00p. To help celebrate the Bogota 125th Anniversary, the will have Dance a “In Love with Bogota  theme to it.  This dance is open to families with children, adolescents and adults. Thursday-14-February

Bogota Beautiful will host another Paint & Sip Night. Similar to the one held last year, and will be a fundraiser for Bogota Beautiful future projects. The event is scheduled for Thursday-14 February starting at 7:30p. It will he held on the second floor of the Kennedy Emergency Service Building located at 69 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ.  They hope to encourage couples and friends to spend a relaxing Valentines Day together while creating personally made item. Local Artist Betty Buffin will lead the group in how to paint on glassware , and ceramics. The price is $40.00 per Person which will include  all the material needed to create a personalized goblet.  Admission will also included  an Italian themed buffet diner with soft drinks and coffee available. Bogota Public Library  and Bogota Beautiful will host their 4th annual  Community Potluck . This will take place in the Senior Center located on the second floor at 375 Larch Ave. There is no admission price to attend, and it will run from 1:00p to 3:00p.  Anyone wishing to attend must contribute a food item of either an appetizer,  main course, or dessert and should register at: Community Potluck Luncheon so that they will be able to set a menu. All donated food items must be delivered to the library between 11:30a and noon that day.
   Tom Shrnich, from the Library, informed the meeting that he is scheduled to have live  music to perform during the event. In addition to donating an item to be served, anyone attending this event is ask to donate a non-perishable food item to help supply the St. Joseph's Food Bank. Anyone wishing to help with set-up, decorations, and serving should also contact the Library. Any High School Student who volunteers will receive Community Service Hours.
