Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the week starting on  Sunday-20-January. Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Please contact the event for the most up to date information.  More events will be added when they become available.

Continuing 

  Starting on Sunday-1 July-2018 the Borough of Bogota will change the ordnance in what can be recycled. Bottle & cans recycling pick-up the Borough of Bogota will now be limited to: Aluminium, Glass, Bi-metal/Tin cans. Aluminium foils and pie plates will be accepted but must be clean. Plastic Containers with the symbol  1, 2, or 5  only  will also be accepted.   All recyclable material must be placed in  reusable trash receptacles.  Items places in plastic bag will not be collected. Paper and cardboard recycling remains unchanged.
   The  collectible the products that have been removed from the accepted list will now be accepted by The Borough of Bogota in cooperation with the Ridgefield Park  environmental commission and collected in a separate way. The Trex Corporation has provided bins to accept the following item. Grocery bags, bread bags, case overwrapping, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, wood pellet bags, zip lock & other re-seal able bags, produce bags, bubble wrap, salt bags, and cereal bags. All  recyclable materials must be clean, dry and free of food residue. For every 500 pounds of plastic collected the Trex Corporation will donate a new park bench, made from recycled materials. The benches will be donated to both Bogota and Ridgfield Park on a rotating basis. As of now a Trex collection bin is in the lobby of the Bogota Borough Hall and  the Bogota Public Library can be accessed  during  regular business hours. More bins are planned for other locations in the future.
  The collection day under the new rules will be Thursday-5-July (due to the Fourth of July Holiday) Then every other Wednesday.

Ridgefield Park, NJ

  The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.
The Elks lodge is located at the Corner of Spruce & Cedar Sts. Ridgefield Park, NJ

For Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday 
The Office of Bogota Borough Hall will be closed.
The Bogota Public Library will be closed 
Bogota Public Schools will be closed.


Tuesday-22-January
Bogota

The Bogota Board of Education  will have their  next meeting starting at 7:00p. This will be held in the  High School Cafeteria  located on the second floor of 2 Henry Luthin place Bogota, NJ. Eileen Lewis, Kathy VanBuren, and Michael Connors will be given the oath of office at that time.  The Public is invited to attend.

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a. También habrá Historias leídas en español en este momento. This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. The Bogota Public Library will host a workshop on  the importance of laughter to promote healthy living.    The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area.
