Weekend Sports

    Results of Bogota Varsity sports from the past weekend
  The Men's Basketball Bucs  "Coaches vs Cancer" at Passaic valley was canceled due to impending weather conditions. This game is not  expected to be re-scheduled.


The Lady Basketball team play  traveled to liffisde Park on Saturday-19-January,  the Lady Bucs lost 52-12. Maryann Gesmundo was the high scorer for Bogota with 5 Points  Their record is now 0-12. They next play on Tuesday-22-January at Park Ridge. Tip-off time is scheduled for 4:00p

  On Wednesday-16-January the Bogota/Ridgefield Park Scarlet Bucs  had a tri-meet on Saturday-19-January at Speary Gym.  They would compete against  teams from Rutherford  and Ft. Lee. The Scarlet Bucs would lose to the Highwaymen by a score of 38-33.  Of the 13 bouts competed Bogota/Ridgefield Park  would win 7 of them. Adam Albino at 113 lbs, John Perez at 132 lbs, Louis Culala at 170 lbs, Stephen Papastefanou at 182 lbs, and Eris Rosario at 285 lbs would win by Pin Falls. Kevin Flores at 145 lbs and Nicholas Feliciano  at 195 lbs would win by  Decision.  Against the Bulldogs The Scarlet Bucs would earn a 48-29 win.  Of the twelve bouts competed  Bogota/Ridgefield Park would win 7 of them.  Adam Albino at 106 lbs, Darius Baez at 126 lbs, John Perez at 132 lbs,  Mathew Levesque at 160 lbs,  Louis Culala at 170 lbs, Stephen Papastefanou at 182 lbs,  and  Eris Rosario at 220 lbs would win by Pin Falls.
   Bogota/Ridgefield Park 's record is now 7-6.
