Sunday-15-September

  This will be the first day of the Healthy Running Series  for Bogota. Healthy Kids Running Series a nonprofit organization that gets boys and girls Pre-K through Middle School active, feel accomplished and lays the foundation for a healthy lifestyle, compete in their first race of the five-consecutive-week Series. This will take place at Fiegel Field starting at 4:30p. It will run for 5 straight weeks ending on Sunday 13-October. Fees start at $10.00 for one race. or $35 for the entire series of five races. Bogota
 The Bogota Public  Library will have their Youth's Sewing Club meeting.  This is  open to  Students ages 9-18.  This will teach anyone the art of sewing. There will be a chance to learn machine, and hand sewing as well as shown different project and types of material. The next meeting  of the Bogota Test Kitchen will be held in the second floor of the Bogota Library. At this meeting members are to bring a recipe from this month book, and serve it to the other members as a potluck dinner. While over dinner members can discuss the book, why the chose their dish, and what was it like in the cooking process.   This is a free event and open to anyone over the age of 18 years old.  Anyone wishing to participate must register before hand, with the cookbook of the month available at the Library.      The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Public Library will hold the second part of a lecture about Ellis Island. This will be presented by Mario Medici, who will discuss and show the history of the well known immigrate entrance to the new World. There will also be information on how to search the database for family and friends who were processed through Ellis Island.  This is scheduled to start at 7:00p.

The Bogota Public Library will hold a  workshop on evaluating the worth of item to learn of their possible value . This is scheduled to start at 6:00p.

Thursday-Sunday-19 to 22-September
Bogota
Starting on Thursday 19-Sept. and going until Sunday -22- Sept. The St.Joseph's Church will hold their 13th annual Carnival and Food Festival.  Rides will open at 6:00p and run until 10:00p Weekdays, and 11:00p on Weekends. 
They are also looking for Volunteers to help with each day of the Carnival.  For more information, or to register to volunteer  please contact Carol Bobat at 201-3425976. This will take place in the parking lot across from the Church located at Palisade Ave. & E. Ft. Lee Rd
  Each night of the festival the Bogota Police will close Palisade Ave from 6:00p-10:00p  in both directions. This will extend from E. Ft. Lee Rd to E. Main Sts. Including parts of Hill St. and 4th Pl.

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  This will be held in the Council Chambers located on the second floor  of 375 Larch Ave. Bogota NJ   This meeting is open to the public.

Thursday-19-September
Teaneck, NJ
This the Teaneck Farmers Market will be open for this season. Shoppers will be able purchase locally grown  and produced food items.  This annual event will be every Thursday from June to the end of October. The stand open at 12:00 noon and continue until 6:00p   The Teaneck Farmers Market is located in the municipal parking lot along Beverly Rd Teaneck, NJ. There is additional parking available near by.

Pottery on the Palisades will be holding opening reception starting at 5:00p They will also be holding an Open House and Studio work through Saturday-21-September. This is located at  425 Main St. Ridgefield Park, NJ.

  The Band Parents will hold their annual  Town Wide Garage Sale will be on Saturday-21-September.   It will run from 10:00a to 4:00p rain or shine. The cost to participate is $15.00 this will allow the seller to have their address listed on the official garage sale map and  they will receive yard sign for their address show that are a participant. Process from the registration fee will go to help support the Bogota High School Marching Buccaneer Band.   The Village of Ridgefield park will host their annual Street Fair. This will take place from 10:00a to 5:00p and be held on Main St from Cedar St. to Park St.

 There will be Mum-Sale to raise funds for the Bogota Football Bucs. This will be held at the Bogota Recreation Center located at 169 W.Main St Bogota, NJ. It will begin at 12:00 noon.
