  This will be the first day of the Healthy Running Series  for Bogota. Healthy Kids Running Series a nonprofit organization that gets boys and girls Pre-K through Middle School active, feel accomplished and lays the foundation for a healthy lifestyle, compete in their first race of the five-consecutive-week Series. This will take place at Fiegel Field starting at 4:30p. It will run for 5 straight weeks ending on Sunday 13-October. Fees start at $10.00 for one race. or $35 for the entire series of five races.  The Bogota Public  Library will have their Youth's Sewing Club meeting.  This is  open to  Students ages 9-18.  This will teach anyone the art of sewing. There will be a chance to learn machine, and hand sewing as well as shown different project and types of material. The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayor's office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

Tuesday-1-October

  The Bogart Memorial Church has announce the next session of the Flourish Community Art Studio in Bogota.  The Fall will offer three sessions starting at the beginning of October and running until mid November.  One class if for Students in Grades Kindergarten to 6th Grade on Tuesdays. These are price at $45.oo. An  Youth class on Thursday for Students Grade 7th to 12th  priced at $85.00. And an Adult class on Sundays priced at $100 plus a tool kit fee. All classes will be taught by Local Artist Mr. Lewis Marks. They will take place in  studio one accessed form the Bogart Church parking lot  located at 48 W. Ft. Lee Rd Bogota, NJ.

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  This will be held in the Council Chambers* located on the second floor  of 375 Larch Ave. Bogota NJ   This meeting is open to the public. 
*This meeting may be moved to the Senior Centre

Thursday-3-October
Teaneck, NJ
This the Teaneck Farmers Market will be open for this season. Shoppers will be able purchase locally grown  and produced food items.  This annual event will be every Thursday from June to the end of October. The stand open at 12:00 noon and continue until 6:00p   The Teaneck Farmers Market is located in the municipal parking lot along Beverly Rd Teaneck, NJ. There is additional parking available near by.

 Start of the Bogota 125th Anniversary Homecoming Weekend.  This is the first Bogota Sports Homecoming weekend, as is in conjunction with the the Bogota 125th Anniversary.  Several events are being planned for the weekend starting on Friday-4-October and running until Sunday-6-October.  There will be events featuring all the fall Varsity Sports along the Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band and Bogota Basketball.
Many event will be included with the purchase of an " Alumni Wristbands". These wristbands will be price at $20.00 per person with the process going to local organizations. Children aged 16 and under will be included when accompanied by the purchasing Parent. A number of local restaurants will also offer discounts for those wearing the wristband that weekend.
   On Thursday-3-Oct
   At the 7:00p the Bogota Soccer Bucs will host Cresskill at Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park. This will be the Senior Game. 
   On Friday-4-Oct.
   At 4:00p there will be a Lady Bucs Volleyball match against Waldwick in Speary Gym.  There also be an Alumni Match and other Ceremonies.
   At 6:30p there will be a Pep Rally and Bonfire  for the Fall varsity Sports teams. This will be held at Lady Buc Field in Olsen Park.
   At 8:00p there will be a BUCSteak dinner at the Bogota VFW post #5561. Tickets for this event are  priced at $50.00 per person. Process from this event will go to the Bogota Athletic Hall of Fame.

  The second day of the homecoming weekend starts : 
 At 9:00a there will be an High School Open House and Breakfast. This will be held in the High School Cafeteria with tours of the school to follow. This will be a wristband event. Tickets will also be available for $5.00 per person at the door.
  At 10:00a to 12:00n there will be a historical bus tour of the Borough narrated by Henry Komorowski.
  At 12:30p the Bogota Basketball  Bucs Alumni game. This will feature both Alumni  Women and Men player, Coaches, and other Guest. This will take place on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. This will be a wristband event. Tickets will also be available for $5.00 per person at the door.
  At 3:00p a pre-game Tailgating Buffet at the Alumni tent near Feigel Field.  This will be a wristband event. Tickets will also be available for $10.00 per person at the door.
 At 6:00p Bogota Football Bucs host Weehawken at Feigel Field. Ticket are price at $3.00 at the gate.
  Following the game an Post game Homecoming party at the 101 Pub.
