Some events scheduled to take place in and around Bogota, for the Weekend starting on Thursday-16-January. Times and dates may change due weather or other circumstances. Until 31-August 2020

The Bogota  Public Library will have  story time reading  starting at 10:30a. This is open available to any Student wishing to join in.  This will be held  under the tree in the Nikki Spiegel Story Time Corner. The Bogota  Public Library will begin a story time reading  starting at 4:00p .  Each week varies for theme and age group. 
The monthly schedule will be:
  • First Thursday of the month - Baby Storytime (Ages 0-2)
  • Second Thursday of the month-Bilingual Storytime (All ages)
  • Third Thursday of the month- Storytime (All ages)
  • Fourth Thursday of the month- Bilingual Storytime (All ages)

The Bogota Public Library will  host a lecture on a new approach to body, mind, and spirit wellness. Gabrielle, from Earth's Healings, will present a discussion about self-care and cleansing of our energetic fields.

The Bogota Public Library will  host the next workshop in the two-month program to provide guidance and support at weekly meetings to help individual set and attain a goal to improve one's health.This is a free event and open to anyone 18 years and older.   The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p.  It will take place Council Chambers on the second floor of the Bogota Borough Hall. This is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Friday & Saturday-17 & 18-January
Bogota
    The Bogota High School Fine Arts Dept will present this years BHS Players production of   "Mirror of Most Value".  The story is based on a Ms Marvel play. There will be two performances of this production. Opening Night will be on Friday-17-January with a curtain time of 7:00p. Then the second show on  Saturday-18-January.  Doors will open at 6:30 in 
  Tickets for both shows are priced at $5.00 per person and are available at the door. The performance will be held in the Bogota High School Auditorium located at 2 Henry Luthin Pl Bogota, NJ.

Friday-17-January
Bogota
The Bogota Public Library will hold Kids Book Bingo.  This will be a friendly bingo game featuring all their favorite book characters. Winners will get to choose a free book from the library book sale.

The Bogota Public Library will hold a teen after hours game night. This will allow teenage  Student to play video games after the 5:00p closing time. There will be no admittance after 5:00p

   The Bogota  Public Library  host their Toddler play group. This is an opportunity for   young children and their Parents to play and relax in a safe area. Sunday-19-January
Ridgefield Park, NJ
  The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.
The Elks lodge is located at the Corner of Spruce & Cedar Sts. Ridgefield Park, NJ

   In observance  of  Martin Luther King Day:
   The Bogota Public Library will be closed.  It will open on Tuesday 21-January at their regular hours.
The Bogota Public Schools will be closed.
The Office of Bogota Borough Hall will be closed
 There will be no yard waste pick-up

The next meeting  of the Bogota Test Kitchen will be held in the second floor of the Bogota Library. At this meeting members are to bring a recipe from this month book, and serve it to the other members as a potluck dinner. While over dinner members can discuss the book, why the chose their dish, and what was it like in the cooking process.   This is a free event and open to anyone over the age of 18 years old.  Anyone wishing to participate must register before hand, with the cookbook of the month available at the Library.
