Bogota Traffic

On Friday-5-December the bridge on River Rd, over the small stream was reopened for traffic in both directions. The sidewalk on the Southern is still closed to pedestrians. This will continue until the new concrete has fully cured. A new sewer line was also added. 

 This was a Bergen Country road project. The catch grate on the Outwater property is still in-place.

 On Wednesday-3-December the Bogota Police Department announced traffic pattern around Bixby School has been updated and made full time. This was first introduced to assist parents with the drop-off and pick-up of Students attending Bixby School. The new Traffic pattern is now. 

-Maplewood Ave is one way going eastbound from Palisade Ave to Fischer Ave

-Chestnut Ave is one way going westbound from Fischer Ave to Palisade Ave

-Fischer Ave is one way going southbound from Maplewood Ave to Chestnut Ave

-Only left turns from Fischer Ave. to Maplewood Ave can be made.

- Traffic heading West bound on Maplewood Ave. must turn right onto Fischer Ave, then make a right turn onto Chestnut Ave to go to Palisade Ave.

- No turns from Palisade Ave on to Chestnut Ave can be made.

-Fischer Ave. in front of Bixby School is for southbound traffic only

-Parking on Maplewood Ave between Palisade Ave and Fischer Ave you can enter Maplewood Ave from Palisade Ave and park on the north side (left side) of the roadway during school hours facing east (towards Queen Anne Rd). After school hours as posted, you still face east but can park on both sides.

-Parking on Chestnut Ave. between Fischer Ave and Palisade Ave you can only go towards Palisade Ave (west) from Fischer Ave. you cannot enter Chestnut Ave from Palisade Ave. During school hours you can park on the south side (left) of the road going towards Palisade Ave. After school hours you can park facing west on both sides.

-Parking on Fischer Ave. can only be on the eastbound (left) side Fischer Ave coming from Maplewood Ave facing southbound. There is still no parking on the westbound (right) side during

school hours

- No parking 50 ft from any stop sign or 25 ft from any crosswalk. This includes the one-way areas.
