On Friday-19-December the Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball Team hosted the Lady Knights from New Milford. This took place on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym.
At the 6:03 mark of the fourth quarter Bogota's Emma Fowler would conject on a three-point basket from the right side of the court. This score was the 1,000th point of her Varsity career. With a timeout called the Lady Bucs came on the court to congratulate Ms. Fowler on her achievement. The players and coach from New Milford also congratulated her.
Then Ms. Fowler was presented the ball from Bogota Alumni Class of 2011 Ms. Megan Lynch, who is the last Lady Buc to reach this milestone. Also, Emma Fowler is the first Lady Buc to record 1,000 points in basketball, and 1,500 plays in Volleyball earlier in the year. She finished the game with 28 Points with a total of 1,008 points.
New Milford would win the game by the score of 49 to 44. Emma Fowler had a game high with her 28 Points, New Milford's Kendahl Hibinski led her team with 16 Points. Bogota's record is now 1-1. They play on Monday-5-December against North Arlington on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym, with the tipoff at 4:30p.
The Men's Basketball Bucs traveled to Butler to face the Bulldogs. Butler would win the game 66 to 60. Their record is now 0-2. Their next game is Monday-5-December at North Arlington starting at 7:00p
