On Saturday-20-June, the Overpeck Creek Animal Hospital in Bogota hosted
an Animal Adoption event. This was done in conjunction with the Bergen County
Animal Shelter and Adoption Center. There was a truck on site that showed a
variety of animals that would be available to be adopted. This included Kittens
and Puppies, with full grown Cats and Dogs. There was also one Rabbit as well.
One side of the bus had a glass side to allow
people to see the animals from the
outside. Patrons could also enter the bus and walk between the kennels. Each
enclosure had the name of the pet, its sex and breed. The passersby could
pet and interact with the animals, which in turn, showed their excitements to
the Humans.
A table was set-up which had a booklet of more
animals that could be chosen that were still in the shelter. Members of
the Animal Shelter were on hand to answer questions about how to apply to adopt
one of the animals.
They also assisted visitors how to fill out
forms, and what other type of information that would be needed to be considered
in order to adopt from the shelter. If the applicant were approved, then they would be asked to come to the
shelter to adopt a new pet for their family.
At the same time visitors were able to talk to
the staff and take a tour of the hospital facilities.
In the parking lot a few tables had more information about a local dog camp, a company that had a
service that would do a deep clean on robotic litter boxes, and another
specializing in pet grooming treats.

Creek Animal Hospital in Bogota is located at 101 E. Main St. Office hours
start at 9:00a to 6:00p five days a week. Saturdays they are open from
