Two firefighters required medical attention during an attic fire in a Ridgefield Park home over the weekend, responders said.
The two-alarm blaze ignited in a 7th Street home in the shadow of eastbound Route 80 at 6:47 p.m. Saturday (June 13th), Ridgefield Park Fire Chief William Lynn said.
The two firefighters were taken to Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck for evaluation of minor injuries, the chief said in a release.
Mutual aid responders at the scene and in coverage included firefighters from Bogota, Hackensack, Teaneck, Englewood, Little Ferry and Leonia, Lynn said.
"The Ridgefield Park Police Department, Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance, HNMC and County Wide Rehab also assisted, he said.
Village fire officials are investigating the cause.
