Bogota Sports

    On Monday 18- May the #10 Bogota Baseball Bucs  lost their first round playoff to # 7 Hasbrouck Heights by the score of 0-13. Bogota ends their season with a 11-9 record.
  The Bogota Lady Bucs Softball  also played their final game of the season against Teaneck at Lady Bucs Field in Olsen Park.  Senior Amanda Daurio was recognized before the game for her High School career. The Senior Players from Teaneck were also honoured. Both teams traded scoring in the early inning  until Bogota scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Bogota pitcher Madison Heck was roughed up in the fifth inning given up 7 runs as the Highwaywomen took a 6-10 lead. Ms. Heck calmed herself to shut out Teaneck in the final two innings. In the bottom of the sixth inning the Lady Bucs double their score to retake the lead 12-10 and eventually the win. The Lady Bucs end their season with a 7-11 record.
   These were the final games for Bogota High School sport for the school year 2014-15. On Monday 1- June the School will host the Michael Granquist Sports Award Dinner. This will be held in the High School Gymnasium with the doors opening at 6:00p. Tickets are $5.00 per person, all Bogota Student Athletes are free. This will be a potluck dinner and anyone wishing to donate a food item should contact; krodgers@imageaccesscorp.com to arrange which item is being donated. It is asked that all items be at the Gym between 5:00-5:30p on 1-June.
