    Some added events in the month of October in and around Bogota

Thursday 20-October 
Bogota
   The Bogota Emergency Department will hold their second Volunteers  night. This will be a chance to see  the equipment  used by the first responders who are based in Bogota. Members of the Bogota Fire Department, Heavy Rescue Squad and the Auxiliary Police Department  will be on hand to show how they respond to emergency situation, how their equipment works, and answer questions about their duties. They will also able at sign-up any one who wishes to become a Volunteer with one , or more, of the departments.  
    This will take place in the Valley Bank Parking lot from 6:30p to 9:00p. It is located at the corner of E.main St and Palisades Ave. Bogota, NJ

Thursday 20-October 
Bogota
   The Bogota High School PTO and the New Jersey School Board Association will host a Candidates Debate  for the five Candidates running for the three seats on the Bogota Board of Education. Ray Pinney  of  New Jersey School Board Association  will moderate the event. This will be held in the Bogota High School Cafeteria and begin at 7:00p. This is open to the public. The cafeteria is located on the second floor of  Bogota High School  2 Henry Luthin Pl. Bogota, NJ

Saturday-29-October 
Bogota
  The Bogota Recreation Centre will host their first Fall Festival and Costume Parade. This will be held in Olsen Park and start at 1:00p and run until 5:00p

Sunday-30-October 
Bogota
   The Bogota Marching Buccaneer Band will participate in the  70th North Jersey Band Festival at Montclair State University.  The events starts at 4:30p with Bogota scheduled to be the fourth band to perform. ( Rain date will be Sunday -6-November also at 4:30p). Bogota has been the only High School band to attend all 70 festivals. Tickets are $10.00 in advance, and $15.00 at the gate. parking cost $6.00 .
