Bogota Sports

   Results from Bogota sports from Tuesday-19-September.
   The Bogota Cross County Squads to part in a quad meet at  the Garret Mountain race course. They ran against Hawthorne Christian Academy, Saddle River Day School, and Dwight-Englewood.  The Lady Bucs sweep all three opponents with  Alanah O'Brien winning the Women's race. Angelie Jaipersaud finishing second and Gabrielle Grant and Ashley Gomez placing 4th & 5th respectively. The Lady Bucs now have a 5-0 record.
   In the Men's Race Bogota out ran both Hawthorne Christian Academy and Saddle River Day School.  The Bucs lost against Dwight-Englewood by only four points in a 30- 26 point total.  Jimmy Gutierrez place second with Jesus Michal taking fourth and Syed-Hamza Hussaini coming in sixth. This results was the first Patriot League  opponent Bogota had lost to since  2012 winning 45 straight meets in that time. Their record for this season now stands at 4-1.
  Both Squads will next run on Wednesday-27-September at the Darlington park race course. They have a tri-meet against Midland Park and Cresskill.

   The Lady Bucs Volleyball team had Match against Emerson at Speary Gym. Bogota won by a 2-0 (25-10 : 25-5) score.  Anna Granquist led Bogota with 8 Service Points including 2 Aces. Briana Lozano and Alyssa Vazquez also recorded two Aces.  Nylene Mateo had 12 Kills, Ms Vazquez recorded 22 Assists,  Jaelyn Grullon had 2 Blocks with Lisbeth Suarez had 8 Digs. Bogota's record is now 4-0. They next Travel to Immaculate Heart Academy on Wednesday-20-September  with the first Service schedule to be at 4:30p.
