Bogota Soccer Bucs

16-September-2018
On Friday-14-September the Bogota Soccer Bucs host the Palisades Park Tigers at Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park.  In the first half Palisades Park controlled most the play and scored the first two goals of the game. The Tigers would take a 2-0 lead into the break. After the restart Bogota was more forceful on the ball, and kept play in the Visitor end for long stretches at the start of the Second Half. The Bucs persistent payed off when Fady Sarabamon was fouled just inside the 18 Yard Box. Mr. Sarabamon was awarded a penalty   kick , which he processed to shoot into the Tigers goal.  This had cut the Palisades Park lead in half with most of the game still to be played. Bogota Goaltender,  Miguel Rojas, allowed the game to remain close when he had a key save  from close range. Later in the game Mr. Rojas would send a clearance depth into the Tigers zone.  The ball would find it's way to the foot of Fady Sarabamon, who had gotten behind the defenders. Mr. Sarabamon would cut to his left and place the ball high into the Palisades Park net to tie the game.  After extra time the game would end in a 2-2 tie.  The following day Bogota lost to Springfield High School 0-6. Bogota's record is now 0-4-1.  They next play on Thursday-20-September at Emerson. Kick-off time is scheduled for 4:00p
