On Friday-4- October the Bogota Sports Hall of Fame committee hosted a Bucsteak dinner at the Bogota VFW post 5561 hall. This was to bring the Alumni together to meet and get reacquainted with former classmates. Process from the evening will go to support the Bogota Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. As well as funding the hall of Fame scholarship program to be given to graduating Senior of Bogota High School. John Sterling welcomed those in attendance and talked about the rejuvenated Hall of Fame. After a long absences the Hall of Fame induction dinner was held again in the Spring of 2017. There was also an induction ceremony in 2018, to make up for lost time. The Bogota Sports Hall of Induction Ceremony is scheduled for June-2020. As Mr. Sterling talked more about the hall of Fame he added that anyone who wishes to nominated a Bogota Alumni athlete may do so by go to: Bogota Hall of Fame nominations
Then Mr. Sterling introduced the 125th Homecoming Chairperson Pat Wilkins. Mr Wilkins thanked those to took the time to return to Bogota to celebrate with the rest of the Borough. He also thanked all the support and assistance from all the people, organization and companies to make the 125th Homecoming weekend possible.
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing, sharing stories with friends and remembering how all the roads can led back to Bogota.
