NJIC Championship

  On Wednesday-30-October the NJIC Championship final round was held at Wood-Ridge High school. In the Third Place Match Dwight-Englewood would face Wood-Ridge. The Lady Bulldogs would have a straight set win 2-0 ( 25-20 : 25-19). Dwight-Englewood  would be led by Audrey leak with 18 Kills, 8 Digs, 8 Service Points including 4 Aces. Isabella Brown record 20 Assist and would also have 4 Aces.
   In the final match for the second time in a week the Bogota Lady Bucs would face the Rutherford Lady Bulldogs. Rutherford would start the evening with an undefeated record at 26-0.  The Lady Bulldogs would need extra points to win the first set, then continued their winning streak taking the Championship by a score of 2-0 ( 26-24: 25-20). They now have 27 winning for the season. Bogota's record is now be 24-4. Jenna Rogers had 17 Kills for Rutherford, while Nylene Mateo record 16 Kills for the Lady Bucs.  Lady Bulldogs' Mia Capobianco came in with 19 Assists, and Bogota's Amber Vazquez accounted for 24 Assists. Bogota's Gianna Estevez had 10 Dig with Rutherford Emilia McCarthy having 8 Digs.
    The #1 seed Bogota Lady Bucs will face #32 North Arlington on Monday-4-November at Speary Gym. This is a first round match of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Group I playoff tournament. The first serve is  tentatively scheduled for 7:00p
