Weekend Sports

   Results from Bogota Varsity Sports on Saturday-19-October.
   The #4 seeded Bogota Lady Bucs Volleyball team played the #13 Leonia in the Second Round  of the Women's Bergen County  Volleyball Tournament.  Bogota would with the match 2-0 (25-19: 25-7) The Lady Bucs would be led by by Nylene Mateo who would finish with 14 Kills, Amber Vazquez scored team highs with 20 Assists Angelique Caceres 10 Service Points including 2 Ace. Olivia Rosado would also score 2 Aces. Gianna Estevez had 12 Digs. Angelique Caceres, Julianne Corniel, and Nylene Mateo would all have 2 Blocks a piece. Leonia would be led by  Grace Kim recording 7 Kills  Corie Ryu had 7 Digs and Jamie Kim had 7 Assists. With  Sierra Addy having a team high  with 2 Blocks. Grace Kim and Michaela Bartolomeo scoring 2 Aces. 
  Bogota’s record is now 21-2. They next play on Saturday-19-October as the #4 seed in the Bergen County Volleyball Tournament. They will face #5 Rutherford at the Old Tappan High School’s North Gym on Saturday-26-October. The first serve is scheduled for 6:30p.  Their next league match is on Tuesday-22-October at Park Ridge. This is scheduled to start  for 4:00p.







  The Bogota Football Bucs would travel to St. Mary's of Rutherford to take on the Gaels. St. Mary's would take the opening drive deep in to Bogota territory until the Bucs would force and recover a fumble. Bogota would then score on the first of two  Dayval Chimilio  touchdown throws to Ashanti Caviness.  St. Mary's would answer back with the first of three  Touchdown catches by David Tarallo  all from Matt Toman. The first 12 minutes would with a Bogota holding a 7-6 lead. The second major score by  Mr.Tarallo from Mr. Toman would sent the Gaels into the locker Room with a 14-7 advantage. 
   After the restart  Bogota would tie the score at 14 on the second  scoring play by Mr. Chimilo to Mr. Caviness. From there St. Mary's would score the next 30-Point to have a 44-14 win. Matt Toman would runs a Touchdown with Demetri Stone would catch 2 TouchDowns.
 Bogota's record is now 1-5. The next play on Saturday-26-October at Feigel Field against an opponent still to be determined. This will be the Senior Game with a kick-off Scheduled for 1:00p
