Open House

 15-November-2021
   On Saturday-13-November the Bogota Middle School held an Open House for Parents, and future Students, to tour the new school.  Visitors were welcomed at the door by Staff members and Volunteer Students.  The guest then were offered to take a tour of the building by some of the seventh grader Students.  They would visit the Cafeteria ,with the safety protocols in place. Also in this lower floor was the area set up that is being used to teach the band and vocal classes. The tour then moved to the top floor, which mainly used for the Seventh Grade Student.  In the hallway was the lockers are installed on on side of the hall. While the other side there is diplayes of art work and announced for the Student. The second floor also housed the Media Center for the school. Next  the tour moved to the first floor use for the sixth grade classes. Also on this floor are more displays created by the Student  and a trophy case from Middle School  Sports brought over from the High School.
  When the tour was concluded  the guest were asked to go into the Gymnasium for some snacks and refreshments. In the Gym  that saw the new Bogota Middle School logo painted at Centre Court. Other graphics included the schools logo and full body images of a Female and Male Junior Buccaneer. There was also a table set up for current parent to join the newly created Middle School PTO. Bogota School District Superintendent Mr. Damian Kennedy was on hand to greet and talk to the Parent. Middle School Principal Dr. Erick Alfonso took the time to meet as many Parent as possible.  Principal Alfonso also introduced himself to some of the younger siblings of his current Student. He welcome them to the school and looked forward to seeing them in the near future.
   During the course of the open house the school was visited by a special guest when Bogota High School Vice Principal Dr. Malcolm Lash. Vice Principal Lash and Principal Alfonso talked with each other  and then posed with some of next years Eighth Grade Students.
