Bogota Basketball

     On Saturday-18-December the Bogota Basketball Bucs open their 2021-22 season against the  Abundant Life Academy Warriors. This was held on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The Warriors would score the first two points, but Bogota would get the next 10. Abundant Life would tie the game late in the first quarter, then the Bucs would convert a free throw to have a 17-16 after 12 minutes.  In the second quarter Bogota build on their lead and took a 36-27 lead into half time.

  After the restart the Warriors' defense would limit Bogota's scoring to single digits and doubling the third quarter points total of the home team. At three quater time Bogota still lead but only by two points at  43 to 41. Abundant Life would have total control of the final quarter of the game and produce a 61-51 road win.

 Bogota's record id now 0-1. The Warriors' Darris Johnson was the game high scorer with 34 Points. Bogota's Evan Meberg account for 33 of the Bucs points. Both men had a game high with 4 Three Point Baskets. 

 Bogota next plays on Tuesday-21-December against Park Ridge. This will be at home on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The tip-off is scheduled for 6:00p
