On Friday-17-December the Bogota/Ridgefield Scarlet-Bucs Wrestling squad opened their 2021-22 season against the Dover Tigers. This was at home in Speary Gym. The Scarlet-Bucs would win the match by a score of 45-27. Of the 14 bouts competed Bogota/Ridgefield Park would win 8 of them. Scarlet-Bucs' Gabriel Nunez at 145 lbs, Benjamin Rivera at 165 lbs, Hugo Wang at 215 lbs, Derek Bauernschmidt at 106 lbs, Anthony Landi at 113 lbs, Adam Albino at 120 lbs, and Derek Rodriguez at 126 lbs (B) would all score Pin Falls. The Tigers' had Pin Falls by Moises Lopez at 150 lbs (D) , Tony Rivera Cruz at 157 lbs, and Ben Moctezuma at 190 lbs
The Scarlet-Bucs' record is now 1-0. They next wrestling on Saturday-27-December in the Sam Cali Tournament starting at 2:30p. The Ladies Scarlet-Bucs' compete in the Garfield Women's Tournament on Saturday 18-December starting at 8:00a
