On Thursday-12-June, the Bogota Recreation Department hosted the first performances of their 2025 Summer Concert series. This took place at the band shell in Olsen Park. The featured performers were the Kickin’ Nash band. They are a five-piece country band performing in Northern New Jersey and New York. The members are Mr. Scott Moore and Ms. Cara Klewin singing vocals, Mr. Peter Hart on Lead Guitar, Mr. Nick West and Bass Guitar, and Mr. Eric Gonzalez on Drums.
Their sets consist of current and classic country favorites. During a set break Bogota Mayor Ms. Daniele Fede came on Stage to thank the band for appearing in Bogota. She then welcomed all in attendance for sharing in the evening of music. Mayor Fede was offered the opportunity to sing with the band, then graciously thanked them for the offer.
There were also two food trucks on site. One of them was Magic Mike’s Smokedmeats and To Gather Coffee.
The next Concert will be on Thursday-10-July. This will feature “Who Brough the Dog” starting at 6:30p. The next event will be an Outdoor movie with the showing of, “Dog Man” in-cooperation with the Bogota Public Library at 7:00p.
Bogota Recreation Department’s Summer series will take place every 2nd and 4th Thursday through August. These are free events opened to the Public. It is suggested that everyone attending bring their own chairs or blankets.
