This Week's Events.

Some events happening in and around Bogota and Ridgefield Park for the week starting Sunday-8-June. Additional information will be added when confirmed.

  The Borough has started a Hometown Heroes Banner program. This will allow residents of Bogota to honor a family member who serviced in the Armed Servies. The cost of a banners will be $150.00 payable to the Borough of Bogota. The Bogota Seniors will be having a trip to the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem Penna. on Thursday-19-June.
A coach bus will leave from the Bogota Public Library at 9:00a to Bethlehem, PA to Wind Creek Casino.  The cost is $40.00 (get $25.00 back for slots).  You can bring snacks and beverages on the bus.

Note:
Registration for the 2025 Bogota Summer Camp is now open. The camp will run from Monday-30-June to Friday-8-August from 9:00a to 4:00p. It will be held at the Recreation Center at 162 W. Main St. Bogota

Sunday-8-June
Bogota
 The Bogota VFW Post #5561 will hold a Flea Market at Post #5561 headquarters at 241 W. Shore Ave in Bogota, Doors will open at 10:00a. Proceeds from this event will go for maintenance of the Post Hall.
 This will be done in cooperation with the New Jersey Key Club. The NJ key club compromises of several high schools from different counties where the students earn volunteer hours for their resumes. For the Flea Market project, the students will be calling local businesses, inviting them to visit the flea market.
 Items to be donated can be dropped off Monday-2-June from 3-5pm. To donate items, it is asked everyone go to the canteen and ask the bartender where to place the items.

Ridgefield Park, NJ
The Ridgefield Park Arts Association will hold its 2025 Artsfest. This was rescheduled due to weather condition on Saturday-7-June. This will take place on Main St. at Grove St. Artist Demonstration and sales will start at 4:00p. Live Music Performances begin at 6:00p. Open to the Public with no admission.

The Bogota Public Library will have their next Kids Book Club starting at 4:00p. It will feature "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". These are available at the circulation desk. Registration is required. Primary Elections for 2025 in the State of New Jersey will take place on Tuesday-10-June. The polls will be opening at 6:00a. and will remain open until 8:00p.

  Notes for the 2025 New Jersey Primary Election:
-In Bogota: Due to the construction of a new Community Center. Districts 1 & 6 will use the polls in the Gym of Bogota High School at 2 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the building. 
-In-Person early voting. Locations are open from Tuesday-3-June-2025 to Sunday-8-June-2025. Tuesday -Saturday earlier voting locations are open from 10:00a to 8:00p. On Sunday, they are open from 10:00a to 6:00p. There are 9 Early Voting locations. The closest ones to Bogota are in Hackensack, NJ at One Bergen County Plaza, this is in the main county Administration Building on the 5th floor public meeting room. Or in Teaneck at the Richard Rodda Center located at 250 Colonial Court.

For Districts 1& 6 it is the Gym of Bogota High School at 2 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the building. Due to the construction of a new Community Center.
Districts 1 & 6 is that part of the Borough located West of the Railroad tracks and between the borders of Ridgefield Park and Teaneck.
-- For Districts 2 & 3 it is the Gym of Bogota High School at 1 Henry Luthin Pl.  please use the door towards the back of the building on the North side of the building.

-- For Districts 4 & 5 it is in the Gym of the Roy Bixby School at Maplewood & Fischer Aves.

 The Bogota Public Library will have "Tiny But Mighty" story time reading starting at 10:30a. This is for Children ages 3 three years and younger. The Bogota Public Library will have a Crochet Workshop at 6:00p. It will be held in the second floor Seniors Centre.  Students from age 12-18 are invited to join and learn the basics of crochet. Projects can include stuffed animals, clothes, and other geeky goodies. Registration required. The Bogota Recreation Department will host an Outdoor Concert in Olsen Park. This will feature the band "Kickin Nash" starting at 6:30p. This is a free concert, and attendees are advised to bring blankets or at chair. Food trucks are scheduled to be available.







Friday-13-June
Hackensack, NJ
Bergen County is holding a Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Administration Building at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack, NJ. This will start at 12:30p and will retire Old, Faded, or Tattered flags with Honour.

The Women’s support group "Never Alone Again" and the Bergen County Food Security Task Force is offering hot meals to go curbside pick-up every Friday starting at 5:00p This will be held at their resource center located at 668 American Legion Dr. Teaneck, NJ. Ridgefield Park, NJ
The Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission will host its annual Earth Day event. This will be held in Riverfront Par behind the Department of Public Works Building at 24 Industrial Ave Ridgefield Park.
This will feature Boat rides on the Hackensack River, Sustainable, and Environmental displays, animal shows, and other activities.
