The Bogota Football Bucs opened their 2025 season on Thursday-28-August. They would travel to Morris Catholic to play the Crusaders. Due to a scheduling conflict this replaced the original home opener scheduled on Friday-29-August.
Bogota open the scoring with a 46-yard touchdown by Jason Alvarado from Jayden Gonzalez. Justin Roca converted the extra point to give the Bucs a 7-0 lead.
The second quarter saw the Crusaders scored a touchdown from a 44-yard passing play. The converser attempt failed, and Bogota would go into halftime with a 7 to 6 advantage.
After the restart the Bucs' Jayden Gonalez threw his second Mayor score of the game from a 6-yard pass to Derek Cabana. Justin Roca kicked another extra point.

Mr. Gonzalez finished the game, going 6 for 14 and 125 passing yards. He also ran for a team high of 118 yards. Jason Alvarado led the Bucs with 46 yards receiving. Christian Garcia and Savion Douglas each had 1 Interception, with Nico Lucarelli recovering 1 Fumble.
The Bogota defense was led by Matt Heras with 10 Tackles six of those being Solo Tackles.
Bogota would come home with a 14-6 win. They now have a record of 1-0. This is Head Coach Mr. James Case's first game and win as the new Head Coach Replacing Mr. Brian Appleton, who was named at the New Bogota Athletic Director over the Summer.
Bogota next plays on Friday -5-September at Saddle Brook. This will have a 7:00p Kick-off.
