On Thursday-7-August, the Bogota Recreation Department hosted the final show of their 2025 Summer Concert series. This took place at the band shell in Olsen Park. First Bogota Mayor Ms. Daniele Fede came on Stage to thank the band for appearing in Bogota.
This evening's featured performers were “Queenz That Rock” The Trio of Ms. Katie Miller, Ms. Jana Jackson, and Ms. Meghan Corbett singing music from the 1970’s and 80’s. There set was filled with songs highlighting well-known women performers. This included Pat Benatar, Heart, Bonnie Tyler, Janis Joplin, and Tina Turner to start the show with powerful vocals.
They then change the sound and sung an A-cappella version of “Landslide” and music by Alannah Myles and Celine Dion.
After these all three performers joined the over 70 members in the Audience to sing and dance with them. Through-out the show each Musician performed solo numbers during the evening.
Other songs heard were from Roxette, Prince, Aerosmith, Journey and other that those in attendance could sing-along to.
At the end of the show the singers took the time to talk with a few people who wanted to personally thank them for their presentation.
Procreative provided the lighting and sound.
There were also two food trucks on site, they were The Mozzarella God and To Gather Coffee.
The next event will be on Thursday-21-August. This will be an Outdoor movie with the showing of, “Wicked” in-cooperation with the Bogota Public Library at 7:00p. It is suggested that everyone attending bring their own chairs or blankets.
