24-August-2025
On Saturday-23-August, the Isabel’s School of Dance held their latest Dance class in Olsen Park. This week’s class was to learn Hip-Hop and was taught by Ms. Samara Lee.
One of the dances the group did was to dance in a circle around the stage. At times Ms. Lee would call out freeze and everyone would stop were they were. Next Ms. Lee picked-out two dances that stood across from each other. They would change positions in the circle by dancing towards each other and meet in the centre of the circle. They would perform a quick duet then move to their new positions.
The final dance was to line up across the stage and follow the moves Ms. Lee did. This ended with all the dancers moving Stage Right and come together to strike a pose. Then move Stage Left and showed their final pose of the morning.
The next Dancing in the Park will be on Saturday-30-August at 10:00a. This will be the final class of the Summer and will feature Tap Dancing for anyone who would like to try it. It will be held on the Band Stand in Olsen Park. This is a free event and open to the Public.
